Zodiac Training Puts Customers First

Team Valley based employment and training company, Zodiac Training, has had its status of providing excellent customer service confirmed, through achieving the Customer First accreditation.

Customer First is the UK’s national standard in service excellence and involves a rigorous assessment procedure. Only eight other companies in the North East have gained the prestigious status. The accreditation process took nearly a year to complete and incorporated a self assessment questionnaire completed by employees and interviews with external assessors. The results showed that they excelled in building customer relationships, maximising market awareness and developing the workforce.

Zodiac Reveals True Colours

A North East photocopier company is aiming to improve their customer services with a little help from Zodiac Training. True Colour Digital currently has four employees taking part in Zodiac Training courses. Three are working towards their Level Two Customer Services qualifications. The course aims to teach learners how to look and deal with problems and also how to resolve any customer issues.

Zodiac Employee Reaches for the Stars

While many people in their sixties are thinking of retiring it could not be further away for one Zodiac employee who is reaching for the stars. Margaret Marshall has proved that learning does not have to end just because you have left school. As a Data Administrator at Zodiac Training, Margaret is a testament to lifelong learning. In her sixties she is still taking qualifications. Margaret started her career with Zodiac Training in 2000, but it was not until three years ago that she began her qualifications quest.

Linzi Steps up the Ladder

After four years of searching twenty year old Linzi Richardson has finally found her vocation. The twenty year old from Blackfell in Washington has finally found her feet thanks to the help of Zodiac Training and her employer, Tor Coatings. Linzi, who left school at 16 with an impressive 13 GCSE’s, didn’t know what she wanted to do in her career and spent several years hopping from college courses to voluntary work.

TWINS TEAM TOGETHER AND TRAIN FOR TRIUMPH

Twins Gary and Mark Unsworth are keeping it in the family whilst working as Warehouse Operatives at local Prudhoe based Permess Ltd. Not only have they both recently finished a NVQ Level 2 in Warehousing and Distribution which was delivered by local training provider, Zodiac Training, they did so whilst working extra hours as cleaners at Permess Ltd, and playing in Judas Priest tribute band, Judas Beast with another employee at Permess Ltd.

SERVING UP LIFELONG EXPERIENCE AT WORK

Clocking up 22 years working for the same pharmacy is a massive accomplishment, especially if you choose to carry on gaining new work-based qualifications. That’s what Valerie Healey, from Bedlington, has chosen to do and with the help from Zodiac Training, Valerie and sixteen other employees in Healthcare Plus branches across the region will qualify in NVQ Level 2 Customer Service in coming months.

FULL MARKS FOR FULWELL CENTRE

Ian Willis is reaching new heights by embarking on an Adult Literacy course through North East learning provider, Zodiac Training. Ian, alongside Toni- Anne Cowe, are members of the Fulwell Centre in Sunderland, a centre which caters for adults with learning disabilities. The two students will be studying Adult Literacy at Zodiac Training’s learndirect Centre, based at North Sands Business Centre in Sunderland.
