Job Description: Training Advisor
Note: The job description below is applicable to all Training Advisor roles.
Reporting to
Programme Manager
Purpose
Recruit, train and assess Zodiac learners on the appropriate framework / programme, supporting and motivating learners to achieve the relevant qualification and develop new business to meet agreed targets in a cost-effective and efficient way.
Duties
- Train and assess learners on the Programmes (following QCA Common Accord and / or other Awarding Bodies procedures)
- Maintain Health & Safety monitor records in respect of employers practices & premises
- Maximise use of e-learning and assessment methods
- Support the development, implementation and evaluation of approved training materials and courses
- Make effective use of learners initial assessment to plan and execute training
- Train and assess learners in all aspects of the programme to meet the learning aim
- Maximise business opportunities by supporting events such as networking events and jobs fairs
- Support and motivate learners to achieve their full potential
- Develop new business through actively promoting Zodiac to ensure a full workload is maintained using effective means of business development
- Complete documentation accurately and within the required time frame
- Work to achieve agreed targets efficiently and cost effectively to meet Zodiac’s business plan objectives and key performance indicators
- Maintain employer involvement throughout the programme

- Carry out HR duties in line with company procedures
- To apply Zodiac’s own Equal Opportunities and Safeguarding policies and practices
- To promote the use of Learning Assistant to both clients and colleagues
- To cover absences of colleagues to maintain continuity and achievement in agreement with Line Manager
- Any other relevant duties agreed with the Line Manager
Essential Skills
- D32/33/36, A1/2
- Registered member of the Institute for Learning
- Quality assurance
- Selling skills
- Approved Basic Health & Safety Cert (ENTO D Unit)
- Approved Skills for Life skills qualification or key skills @ level 2, IT, AON & Com
- Two years experience in related occupational area
- Previous training experience
- Health & safety in the workplace
