Zodiac Training and The Newcastle Gateshead Hilton were Highly Commended in the medium-size business category at the Culture for Success Awards 2009.
Service Network’s landmark Awards received a record number of applications from companies in 2009. After weeks of consideration by a panel of judges, who commended the level of commitment to organisational culture, the winners were announced at an awards ceremony in Newcastle’s historic CastleGate.
Entrants were judged against four key criteria; staff development, customer service, business growth and contribution to the region, and judged in categories according to the number of employees.
Andrew Dixon, Newcastle Gateshead Initiative Chief Executive, judge and compere of Culture for Success said:
“These are great awards; they are about the people who make companies work. In such difficult economic times, it is those companies who recognise the impact that good employees have on customer service and profitability, that will not only survive the recession but accelerate out of it. Zodiac Training recognises the importance of culture and invests heavily in staff training and long term development. Its success as an organisation is echoed by the success of the learners it provides training for – Zodiac Training is thoroughly deserving of a Culture for Success commendation.”
I have enjoyed completing this NVQ certificate. It is a long time since I was at school and sat exams and I feel this way of learning on the job is very beneficial, it made me think about everything I do daily and putting it into different modules really defines the job I do.I would highly recommend anyone who is considering taking on this type of learning to go for it, as it gives you confidence in your abilities.
