As a ‘golden hello’, a new grant is available to employers who take on a 16-17 year old Apprentice.

For a limited period the National Apprenticeship Service will provide employers with grants of £2,500 to enable them to take on an unemployed 16 or 17 year old Apprentice immediately.

The grant is in addition to the costs of training which are already covered.
