IT Application Specialist
Level 2

Available as an NVQ Level 2 and Apprenticeship, our IT Application Specialist qualification is aimed at anyone who regularly uses IT in their job. The NVQ Level 2 and Apprenticeship are both  designed to encourage new learning and to assess workplace competence in applying IT skills relevant to a job role.

In the modern world, no two jobs need exactly the same IT skills. The IT programme is therefore designed to allow a great deal of flexibility in terms of what learners choose to do, and how they are assessed.

NVQ Level 2

Many jobs require different skills at different levels, for example, someone may require a high level of expertise in one particular skill such as Spreadsheets but a low level of expertise in another skill such as IT Security. The qualification is designed so that the learner is able to study just those elements that are relevant or of interest to them.

Apprenticeship
The Apprenticeship qualification consists of the following elements:

• Key Skills – Application of Number Level 1, Communication Level 1
• Employment Rights and Responsibilities
• NVQ Level 2 – see above
