Management
Level 3, 4 and 5

Available at NVQ Levels 3, 4 and 5 and Advanced Apprenticeship, our Management programme is aimed at people in management roles across all occupations and sectors of employment. The Management qualifications have been developed from the National Occupational Standards produced by the Management Standards Centre.

NVQ Level 3

The aim of this programme is to contribute to the skills, knowledge and overall performance of Management and Leadership. This programme is designed for those people who:

• Are entering a management role or wish to gain a qualification that formally recognises their skills.
• Manage a team and are responsible for its performance.
• Are middle managers and who have a wider managerial role, which could include recruitment and budgetary responsibilities.

The qualification consists of a total of 7 units – 4 mandatory plus 3 from a range of options. See the Full Unit List for details.

NVQ Level 4

The Management level 4 qualification is aimed at individuals with more personal responsibility and autonomy in their management role than those at level 3 and who have the ability to demonstrate recognisable management and leadership skills, for example, managing business processes, developing and implementing operational plans, leading, planning and implementing change or managing finance.

The qualification consists of a total of 8 units – 5 mandatory plus 3 from a range of options. See the Full Unit List for details.

NVQ Level 5

The Management level 5 qualification is intended for managers who are responsible for the control of activities and work output of other managers and who have the ability to demonstrate recognisable management and leadership skills, for example improving organisational performance, providing leadership, encouraging innovation, developing a strategic business plan, or managing risk.

The qualification consists of a total of 7 units – 4 mandatory plus 3 from a range of options. See the Full Unit List for details.

Advanced Apprenticeship
The Advanced Apprenticeship qualification consists of the following elements:

• Key Skills – Application of Number Level 2, Communication Level 2
• Technical Certificate in Management Level 3
• Employment Rights and Responsibilities
• NVQ Level 3 – see above
