Level 2

Available at NVQ Level 2 and Apprenticeship we offer a flexible qualification to staff operating in various roles within the retail industry. The work-based programme is built on national standards designed by industry experts that encompass best practice as well as legislative requirements. The programme is delivered to meet individual and business needs.

NVQ Level 2

The level 2 qualification in Retail Operations is in-line with industry needs and presents an opportunity for individuals to progress to becoming Team Leaders or Supervisors. This NVQ is designed for those who are involved in stock storage and order processing, preparing products for sale, merchandising and selling goods, customer service, goods movement, hygiene or a combination of these areas. Within your job role you need to be able to show that you can carry out a range of work activities in a variety of contexts. Some of these activities will need to be complex or non-routine tasks that may be carried out when you work as part of a team. In addition you need to show that you can take responsibility for your own work and work by yourself when needed.

The qualification consists of a total of 6 units – 1 mandatory plus 5 from a range of options. See the Full Unit List for details.

Apprenticeship
The Apprenticeship qualification consists of the following elements:

• Key Skills – Application of Number Level 1, Communication Level 1
• Technical Certificate in Retail Operations Level 2
• Employment Rights and Responsibilities
• NVQ Level 2 – see above
