The Infection Control course is a practical introduction to the principles of infection control. The course covers:

• What is infection control?
• Practicing infection control
• Infection and infectious diseases
• Preventing the spread of infection
• Medication
• An introduction to medicines
• Medicine supply, storage and disposal
• The safe administration of medication
• Quality control and record keeping in the administration of medication
• Accountability, responsibility and confidentiality in the administration of medication

Duration: 1 day equivalent over a 3 month period (including work-based assessment).
Cost: £800  for up to 12 people (as little as £67 per person).
