Introduction to Neuro Linguistic Programming (NLP) Workshop

Overview:

This workshop is designed to provide an introduction to the central theories and practical application of the NLP framework, and to promote the benefits of the utilisation of NLP techniques in relation to communication, coaching, motivation, goal achievement, achieving better results and creating ‘can do’ mind sets.

Learning Outcomes:

  • Understanding of the basic central theories of NLP
  • Improved communication skills through application of the NLP language patterns models
  • Effective conflict resolution and enhanced relationship building
  • Enhanced awareness and control of one’s emotional state and how these can impact on performance and motivation
  • Understanding and awareness of how to reframe potentially negative situations to one’s advantage and gain a successful outcome

Workshop content:

Supporting theory. A brief overview of:

  • Learning and neurological levels
  • Perceptual patterns and representational systems
  • Emotional states and their impact on performance

Language:

  • Meta model including deletion, distortion, generalisations and nominalization
  • How to achieve enhanced rapport and greater understanding and clarity
  • Strategies to effectively challenge, influence and motivate others

Application and Techniques:

  • Anchoring states and Resource Anchoring
  • Modelling
  • Strategies
  • Framing & Reframing

The workshop will be supported with detailed handouts and e-resources.
